Crunchyrolling............

One of my favourite pastime is Youtubing :)

You will find heaps of drama series in there, that was where i caught my kimura takuya craze (see my June archives). Heheh.

But then horrrrrr......... little did i know that there is a higher heaven in http://www.crunchyroll.com !!!!!! My internet savvy housemate introduced me to it. If you are looking for jap, taiwanese, cantonese and korean drama series, this is the seventh heaven. So many shows to watch that you just wanna quit your job and stay at home to watch (hahah, just kidding lar).

Before you go into ecstacy over this discovery..... there is a downside to it......... it laps up your internet quota so fast you will be suffering the dialup speed effect before you can finish saying HAPPY CRUNCHYROLLING :(

I share broadband with 4 other girls, so cannot be so selfish right?? Either don't watch, or watch during the offpeak time (12midnight - 8am). As those of you who know me, i need my zzzzzZZZ, so there is no way i'm gonna cut short my snooze time to watch drama series. Sooo... don't watch lor.

Somehow, i dunno what possesed me to stay up last sunday, usually by that hour, i would have concausted on my bed. I watched "Just Follow Law" on crunchyroll. My gosh!!! Really cracked up a few times (have to stiffle my laughter coz housemate sleeping next door).

It is a singaporean movie produced by Jack Neo. He is the dude that brought us "I Not Stupid", "I Not Stupid 2" and etc. Perhaps you all would know more about singapore films than i do. Fann Wong really surprised me with how well she can act, i never fancied watching anything that had her inside coz i thought she was just average (i eat my words now, she is good!!). Gurmit Singh (my most favourite Ah Beng!!) was as funny as usual. As for what this movie is about, i shall not spoil it for you, go watch it for yourself at crunchyroll. Muahahahah, be ready to be bombarded by singlish and hokkien slangs :)

Sidetrack 1: Housemate also told me that Youtube uses up a lot of internet quota. So... there is still no win win situation at the moment. No youtubing, no crunchyrolling fest.

Sidetrack 2: Another good film by Jack Neo is "Home Run". I think it was Heather that lent me the DVD. Prepare tissues for this one and sob your heart out. A must watch!!

Well poeyyyyy ... there is a way ...
1. When downloading videos, you'll use bandwidth no matter what so you can't do anything about that.
2. What you can do however is download the actual files so you and housemates can share them amongst each other without having to download them again.

To do this:
a) You need FireFox and get the DownloadHelper extension.
b) When you're viewing a page with a video on it, on FireFox, click on Tools => DownloadHelper and you should see a list with .flv on it. Select that and FireFox will ask you if you want to download it. Say 'yes' and you'll be downloading the file.
c) To replay the file, download Riva FLV Player

Hope this helps!
