Silence is .........

When the $3o dollars was whipped out (the money owner, you know who you are ler), a historical moment was made, a feat was won!!! A feat that was won on the behalf of 16 kids who are awaiting their fate to be change :)

Cutiegal, you are not just another pretty face, muahhaha :)

In this case, it can be said that your silence is indeed GOLDEN!! Well done well done!!!

P.S: I would not forget yesterday.

Actually ... after donating the money, I slightly 'regretted' it. I regretted not being able to hear her speak chinese a little more. (It wasn't about with the money). I should have told her to say all the things she wanted to say, before handing the money over.

Oh well, she and all the other participants in the 40 hour famine are doing a fantastic job!

ahahaa.... well, mystery donor, you could always speak to me in Chinese. We'll have a conversation in Chinese!

JP, thank you so much for you company! =) It made a difference. I would have been miserable otherwise!
Ps. I like the metaphors you used here!

Hahahah Marianne, you'd probably pay me $30 NOT to speak chinese. Sad to day, my chinese is atrocious! Well done on your fantastic total, the children will be pleased indeed!

I meant 'sad to say' ... duhhhhh ... [smacks head]

haha. I'll make you a deal. If you speak to me in Chinese the next time I see you, I will carry on the conversation in Chinese.

Thanks. =) It wasn't me, it's the people that gave.

Hahahahahahhhhh.

~g~:Come to think of it, though i have known you for so long, i haven't heard you utter a word in mandarin before. Probably your mandarin is not atrocious, but rusty. Give it some oilling, speak mandarin to marianne, it is heaps of fun :) Hao le, wo men shuo hua yu.

Marianne: Really cannot call you mari is it???? :( Feels so weird to say your full name. Hahahah. I have a confesion to make. Before the 40 hour famine began, i thought you were a banana (ie. yellow skin, white inside, me speak no mandarin kind of chinese). You are now certified a NON BANANA. Your mandarin is very good, pronounciation is better than my rojak mandarin.

haha. I prefer being called Marianne.
eh, I am still a banana lah. My pronunciation has deceived you. It's accuracy comes from the fact that I learnt Mandarin mainly in school. My vocab is appalling. It's probably not even at the level of a 12 year old kid... which is pretty unfortunate considering I've had 11 years of Mandarin classes...
