Ppl are just weird 2

I didn't know that the garbage collector and "karang guni" man has competitors until i saw this news.

According to MSN news: "An empty gourmet dog food can plundered from Paris Hilton's rubbish bin has launched an eBay bidding war reaching $US1.5 million ($A1.8 million).
A pair of enterprising scavengers from the website HollywoodStarTrash.com also put three other Hilton items for sale on eBay: a used toothbrush, an autographed postcard and a fan letter to the celebrity heiress. The highest bid for those was $US285 ($A340.56) offered for the toothbrush. Bidding closes Sunday."

I really went to check on ebay, and found out that the toothbrush is now worth A$6000. Probaby i should change my job to become a "professional rubbish scavenger", imagine how fertile my money tree would be.

Go check out this website, made me laugh http://cgi.ebay.com/NON-STAR-TRASH-LOW-COST-DOG-FOOD-CAN-PARIS-HILTON-PIC_W0QQitemZ150137291395QQihZ005QQcategoryZ2312QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I wonder what is the bid winner gonna do with the dog food can??!!! Perhaps he/she has to sell their mansion to get a piece of st**id metal. AHhaah.

Well.... after giving it some thought, i think it is not that funny anymore. In fact i think the society is going psycho, paying so much attention to celebrities. Every uncle and auntie on the street would know that Paris Hilton has gone to jail, but how many would know the number of children that died of starvation or the number of soldiers that gave up their lives in a day.

And i am guilty of that too.

From today onwards, i am gonna boycott reading gossip magazines. For those who don't know, the clinic where i work has a healthy supply of WHO, woman's day and new idea. No more trash..... attention shall be diverted to MORE IMPORTANT THINGS.

Smart financial advice ..... pls dun miss it!!!

joey's money tree

Everyone loves a money saving tip right??? This tip will definitely save you HEAPS :)

And right now i am going to give you one for FREE..... hehehe. I am no finance student, so this will be really easy peasy, no confusing words.

And the money saving tip is ............... take care of your teeth!!!!! (ok ok, wait wait..... i know it is obvious truth, but pls continue to read on kay).

Let's say Joey has a small tooth decay ---> small filling ---> fillings need to be replaced every few years ---> small filling might become big filling (let's say joey continue to ignore oral hygiene)---> if it continues to deteriorate a crown would be needed coz fillings are no longer sufficient (costs around A$ 1300 for a crown) ---> crowns need to be replaced every 10 years
Oh yeah not to forget you would need to buy dental insurance.
WoW!!!! that is a lot of $$$$

The closest thing to a real tooth is implants which would cost at least A$5000 for ONE tooth. I ain't kidding with you.

The scenario that i painted for you was just for one lil' tooth. Imagine if you had more than one decay.

It is easy to take care of our teeth, all you need is a toothbrush, floss, toothpaste and discipline. Takes me at least 6 months to spoil one toothbrush and finish a tube of toothpaste.
Soooo... the next time when you decide to forgo your toothbrushing before popping into bed, remember my money saving tip kay?

The truth about dentistry..... nyek nyek nyek

Going to the dentist is an expensive affair right??

Duhhhhh joey...... everyone knows it.

The truth is when you go to for a dental treatment, you are paying for professional labour and the dental materials used.

This morning our metal millimeter ruler finally came. When i saw the price on the invoice, my eyes nearly fell out of it's sockets. A$25 for one small metal millimeter ruler. Nothing special with it, same as the ones that a primary school kid would use. That is an exorbitant price considering one can pay a few ringgit and get the exact same ruler.

My colleague said that as long as an item is labelled as medical/dental, the price will be pretty hefty. They overcharge because they can.

Let me give you an example, the 3M company didn't just build an empire out of glue and scotchtape, quite a large amount of filling materials are produced by them. Their stuff is not cheap at all.

Psssssst girls....... don't just aim to marry a dentist.... aim higher..... marry the person that owns a dental/medical product company!!! I am sure they would be higher in the food chain.

I spy with my lil' eye........ something that starts with L

Woooooo, i spotted a new place for breakie this morning. Next to Chutney Mary's (indian restraunt in Subi), a new cafe is opened for business..... the name is "Little Chutneys".... ahahahha, Chutney Mary's baby.

Gotta drop in one of these days to sample their coffee :)
They open at 7am, which is good news for those who office workers who need a caffeine boost in the early morning. Anyone keen to sample their breakie?????

Next time when any of you drop in at Subi, remind me to bring you to this bakery called Charlie's. Don't be deceived by it's dodgy shop furnishings, it churns out the best pies (mmmmmm, yummy, that is according to my taste buds lar). Muhahah, that is the updates from me at the moment

Have a cheeryyyy day ppl!!!

A "Tights" spot

Hehehe, i bought my first pair of tights yesterday. I know i know, i am a very late bloomer when it comes to fashion. So excuse me if i am so excited :p

I had no idea that there were so many types of tights....... opaque, sheer, sheer matte, opaque matte, tall, medium, average, to waist, to knee, metallics......... etc etc. There were at least 5 rows of tights, stockings at Myers. Took me quite a while to figure out which one to buy. Had to ask the lady at the counter, just to make sure that i am buying the right sort, ehehhe, so 'suaku'.

Wow, i have to say that the tights are fabulous!!!! Keeps you warm and pairs up nicely with a short dress. Ohhh la la!!!

Wahahahahahah, i know i know, i am a hidden vain pot.

Ppl are just weird

I read on the newspaper yesterday that a doctor in India allowed his 15 year old son to perform a ceaserean section on a pregnant lady, so that it would be recorded on the Guiness Book of Records. By the way, the son is not medically trained.

Good ole' dad was unrepentant and insists that his son's achievement should go down on the Guiness Book of Records even in the midst of being sued.

How bizzarre can humans be??

Taggeeeed by fishy Nikki

The rules:
1) The person tagged has to write 7 facts about themselves, along with a copy of the rules.
2) The chosen one then needs to tag 7 others and make a note of whom they’ve chosen as the next ‘taggees’ on their blog.
3) And finally? Leave a comment for those that they’ve tagged, giving them a heads up to read their blog and find out what it’s all about.

Ok, in goodwill of entertaining the one who tagged me and my fellow blog readers, here are some uninteresting facts about myself, muahaha:

7) I have always said that i am from Sabah right?? Heheh, actually that is not true. That is an answer i frequently give to save myself from telling my whole life story. I am born in good ole' KL..... moved to Lahad Datu, Sabah when i was 9 ...... moved to Tawau, Sabah to study secondary school (eheheh, am i confusing you)??

6) Sleep is the only cure for me when i am tired. No amount of coffee, tea, red bull, guarana pills or pinching would keep me awake. I have a knack for falling asleep while watching a movie in the cinema, on the couch while watching tv and even halfway through a conversation.

5) I am scaredy cat, a veryyyyy weak heart. That is why i don't watch horror movies. I am terrified of my shower water turning into blood, terrified of finding a dead body in my toilet, terrified of ghosts pulling my feet when i am asleep (such active imagination ehh??)

4) Point no. 5 brings me to another topic......real life baby dolls and manequins. I am terrified of them, especially those that have eyelids that can open and close. Eeeeeeekkkkksssss!!!!!!! As a kid, i only like those animal dolls (pooh bear and mickey).

3) I don't like melted ice cream. While some ppl happily slurp up their melted ice cream, i would just leave the puddle alone.

2)When i was young I used to think that wearing glasses is cool (what was i thinking??????!!!), so i would purposely lie on the bed to read. As a result, i had my first pair of glasses when i was 12, felt so proud to wear glasses some more, ahahahah. Wished that i had listened to mom.

1) I used to collect soundtracks. When i watch a movie, i always listen to their background music. Patch Adams is my favouritest soundtrack.

Okkkkkkkkkkkkkkk, now i can tag 7 ppl, my fellow 'taggees' are:
1) More than a mouthful!
2) Alyssa Ng
3) Heather
4) Simply Liz
5) Vel
6) Snowball Sherlyn
7) Tuna Ribena

Not your normal type of Eye Candy........ Let's sing: I want CANDY!!!! :O

This entry is dedicated to Miss AUE, who is still clueless about the eye candy that i was ranting to her about.

Taaa daaaa ....... introducing KIMURA TAKUYAAAAAAAAAAAA

Long hair version (acting as public prosecuter in HERO)

Sporting a short hair cut in GOOD LUCK as a pilot

Does it ring a bell now?? I believe that most of you would have seen him before. He was already famous back when i was still a secondary school student (hahaha, which is yonks ago). At that time i thought he was just another typical "have looks but no substance" kind of pop idol.

I eat my wordss again, ahahahah. It all started with HERO, which was a jap drama that was recommended by a friend. Was skeptical in the beginning, but got hooked the more i watched it. The plot was fantastic, his acting is mesmerising. Not your average "the main actress dies in the end" kind of jap drama.

Recently i watched another two of his drama on YOUtube. GOOD LUCK where he acted as a pilot and ENGINE where he acted as a F1 racer. It is so addictive. Gals, you really gotta watch it. How can you miss it, when such a fine specimen is the main actor??

Beware my dear readers, you will have your patience tested when youtubing, where you have to painstakingly click on a new episode every 10 minutes. Hehehe, but it is worth it.

Sidetrack: Nana, i know i have tortured you many a times by raving about him. So this blog entry is dedicated to you toooooooooo :p

Sidetrack 2: Miss AUE, so how, what do you think of him?? More good looking than your benny cousins right?

Eyes See, Ears Hear..........Listen and open your eyes big big

Tonight's cell lesson was on LISTENING :)
In summary, a teaching on how to be quick to listen, slow to speak, to be a good listener.

In addition to that, today i learnt that god works in mysterious ways. Some of the things you don't have to go and "ke-poh", in due time your eyes will see, ears will hear. God reveals things in his time. We just have to patiently wait. God, i thank you for what you have showed me today.

Side track: I have always thought that roses are hard to plant. No so anymore, as i looked at the neglected rose bush in the front yard. It fed on water sponsored by the clouds, and god knows where the nutrition came from. Pretty white roses still sprung from it. See picture.

Big prawn head??

Once a upon a time, i had a blog. A blog that was deserted, until i eventually forgotten the username and password. Hehehehhe.

Well.... no use trying to resurrect a blog that you can't even recall right?? So here comes my brand spanking new blog. The rest is history!!!

Somehow this morning, while i was "hugging jesus's feet" (as my mum would say it) for this morning's test, i had so many things swimming in my head, i just could not concentrate. I had the sudden urge to wanna blog. Of all times why it happened when i am supposed to be studying hard huh??

Ahahh, there were so many times that i told ppl that i dun wanna blog, just wanna remain a secret blog reader. I guess i have to eat my own words ei??

Well goody, next time when someone posses the question: How have you been?? I know what to answer :)

NB: hugging buddha's feet (a mandarin saying) = burning midnight oil
