Pressies for colleagues

What do you give to ladies who have everything????

Ahahhahahaha, perhaps some red onion, garlic, brown sugar, mustard seeds, balsamic vinegar and olive oil??

HO HO HO HOOOOO..... watch out for the grinch

Which is gonna be faster?? The train or the car?? The Mandurah line is not in function yet, just some test driving.

The christmas season is fast approaching, faster than the Mandurah choo choo train. The question that i quite commonly ask my patients now is "How's your preparation for Chrissy??" I get all sorts of answers. Most actually dread the shopping, some are running away with an overseas trip, some are returning to their own country/state, some of the country patients are escaping to Perth to avoid the congestion that's gonna be caused by the city dwellers, some are just gonna chill and do nothing.

Most guys are cool as cucumber, cause they have their mums, wives, girlfriends to do the shopping part (how unfair!!! aahahah). Just to be fair to the guys, in most cases it's not that they don't wanna help out, but it is because they really have no inkling of what to buy, and their eyes probably start to twitch when they see the crowds (signs of shoppophobia). One lady told me she once sent her husband armed with a concise list of pressies to buy, yet he came back with either the wrong item, wrong colour or wrong brand. I find that hilarious, cause i remembered when i was younger, i told dad i wanted a Winnie the Pooh, poor dad didn't even have an idea of what it was.

The ones that are most stressed are the mums. Some of them looked clearly distressed. How would you not be when you are suposed to host a huge dinner party and at the same time look calm and pretty.

As for me, i am gonna be a grinch this year. Need to store up water for next year. Anyways, i have never fancy christmas shopping. Screaming children, trolleys full of stuff, long queues are enough to send me running for the hills. My action plan is browse catalogue, write a list, find a parking, get everything and run straight back to the car.

Choooo choooooooo

ICKY was sent for a health check. Being carless, on the bus and train i go :)

Hadn't taken the public transport for a long long time, it was ever since i started work at subi. More efficient and penny saving to drive. The luxury of having ICKY has also spoilt me rotten. HEhe.

Found out last night that the spanking new Esplanade train station is already in operation, too good an opportunity to miss checking out what my tax money has been used for. It is due time they keep their promise to open up the Mandurah choo choo train line. Driving on the freeway is causing the population to have grey hairs.

Note to all freeloaders, if you don't want to be slapped with a fine, better buy your tickets or get a smart rider card. When I first came to Perth, I was amazed at how the public is allowed to freely go in and out of the train station.

Esplanade train station, next to the Busport. The train line is well hidden underground. Currently it only services the Joondalup line.

The walls needs more color. Grey is just such a blahh color. A splash of green for serenity?? A splash of yellow/orange for happiness?? A splash of red to wake up all the sleepy heads??

Hard to find parking in the city?? Not anymore...... just hop on a train and arrive at the doorstep of Murray Street with ease (see the back part of Target??). This is the Perth Underground stop, which is in between the Esplanade and Perth Train Station stop. This station is much nicer in appearance.
There is still a lot of construction being carried out at the side of the train station. I wonder what else are they building.
Walked across to the Perth Train Station to hop on the train to subi. Arrived nice and early for a good cuppa :) Being able to read on the bus and let someone else fight the traffic for you is a nice change.

Note: Walking through the train station made me think of singapore. For all those that are in singapore, really miss you ppl!!!

Fiery red

It is officially summer!!!!

Blessed :)

Was given an early christmas pressie, another addition to my growing flower clan :)

Awwwwww............. I love the name of the rose!!

Premature buds that would produce some bloom when summer fully kicks in. Orange blooms with a tinge of pink, and..... it supposed to have fragrance. Wooo hoooooo, i am waiting.

On top of that she made curry puffs, brought straight out of the oven. All I can say is I'm totally blessed. Looking at her tired face, I can't help thinking what did i do to deserve this friend?? A friend who would wake up early on the day she is supposed to fly off and make you goodies. A friend who is really genuine, kind hearted. A friend who would always cook thai food and bring it to school to eat with you. A friend who insists on meeting your parents and cooking for them.

We are 10 years apart, with very different lifestyle, yet somehow in this little universe i gotten to know her, and we both got on really well. Motherhood is already a full time job, and she has her hands on another part time job. Listening to her stories, i caught a glimpse of how hard motherhood and marriage can be. Respect!!! Respect!
