Post Lapsang Suchong saga, bought some Chai Tea (at last!!) yesterday. Everyone was eager to try some. Mum wanted to know what the fuss is about.
My review: Totally different from the cafe version. The reason why i went in search of Chai Tea is because i found out at work that chai lattes served at cafes are mostly made from chai flavoured syrup (yes, syrup!!!!), and wanted to convince myself that the real chai tea leaves should be nicer. I guess the chai syrup has already poisoned my bloodstream, the real leaves just doesn't do it for me.
Dad's review: Ehhhh...... i think the normal tea bag (referring to Boh tea) is nicer ler.
Also bought some Camembert cheese for them to try.
Mum's review: Tastes like cream cheese. I like the cheese from Royal Brunei (they smuggled pieces of cheese into Australia from the plane).
I think it is just better to trust our own taste buds when it comes to eating. The description on the labels can make something sound so out of this world but when you try it, it is nothing out of the ordinary. Powerful are the use of words, ordinary becomes extraordinary, yucky tea becomes adventurous tea.
But anyways, it is important that you love what you eat, eat what you love. Doesn't matter even if it just a simple packet of Indomee.
