Resolution.......

One of my weakness is failing to pick up the phone when somebody rings. And the lapse time between receiving the missed call and returning the call can be quite long. I think I can see some ppl nodding their heads in agreement.

Most of the time my phone is on silent mode, sometimes delibrately left so, sometimes i really had forgotten to switch it back to the normal mode.

It never quite bothered me, despite the annoyance it had caused others. That was until yesterday I realised that not picking up the phone has it's price. Twice these last two days I have failed to pick up the phone on the spot when i could have. One of the calls, i missed it and didn't see till the next morning. It was a call from a friend in dishevelled state and needed someone to talk to. If only ....... I had picked up the call. The second call was a cry for help to pick up a stranded girl in Fremantle. The damsel in distress was near to tears I heard.

There are moments in life where once you have missed it, it is too late. Darn it!!

Hence, for the next half of the year, resolution has been made to pay more attention to the phone. I will try!! Now what i need is a swanky ring tone :)

Remember, the phone call that you pick up may change a person's life.
Note: In the event that i do not pick up the phone, I may be in class or at work. So do not fret, I will call back.

It came all the way from HK, Yuen Long. The best "wife cake" and the only kind of "wife cake" that is out of this world (for me that is). Forget about Krispy Kremes and "wife cakes" from Malaysia and Singapore. This is the bomb!!
Wait till i get my hands on some, will pass some to you.
You call yourself a friend, and you don't even have my phone no. Tsk tsk.......

Well, it is not very often that I have a 'moment' where I need to talk to somebody or that I'm stranded. :) It is nice however that your friends see you as someone who is able to provide a listening ear. Next I see you, I'll get your number :) ... come to think of it ... do you have my number??? :P

~g~: Yup, i have your phone no. (provided you didn't change it). FYI, there are husband cakes as well, though I haven't eaten one before. Wife Cake (老婆餅)is sweet and traditionally made with candied winter melon. On the other hand, Husband Cake (老公餅) is savoury, filled with garlic, nam yu (fermented bean paste), some even has pork floss!!

steph: Dank you, dank you!!!! Please don't miss Perth, you are coming back here in 3 weeks time. Enjoy your time with your family :)
