Stuck in my head

Was in a merry mood during one of the work days, and had a song stuck in my head, a song that i couldn't complete the lyrics.

Do (doe), a dear a female deer
Re (ray), a drop of golden sun
Mi (me), a name i call myself
Fa (far), a long more way to go
So (sew), a needle pulling thread
La ............. ????????????
Ti (tea), a drink with jam and bread

That song had me at "la", what was it??? I asked my colleagues, they didn't know either. What was it??? Can't even make up something decent with "la".

Went to search the lyrics yesterday. When i saw what "la" was meant to be, LOL. No wonder i couldn't make up anything for it.
