Early.... way tooooo early

I did something ding dong this morning. HEhehe, i went to work one hour early.

Well, I thought daylight saving was only ending tonight. Had no idea that it had already ended until i was in the car listening to the radio. "10 minutes to the 8 0'clock news", said the announcer.

Ahahahahahhahaha, such a boo boo.

It's alright. Gonna watch one more episode of "Criminal Minds" then :p

Enjoy your EXTRA hour today!!!!!

Are you kidding yourself??

I stumbled upon the words of someone: " I didn't lie. Never. I just didn't tell u everything. Things that i didn't tell so that you won't be hurt"

Bullcrap, that is the champion lie of all times!! Hello??? Isn't exclusion of truth a form of DECEIT??!!!!

Truth is the WHOLE thing, transparent and unhidden, be it ugly or nice. It is never a pick and choose event like eating buffet or picking out which outfit you want.

When you think you are protecting the person whom you have lied to, you are in actual fact covering your own butt. One day, your butt will be on fire when the truth gets out.

Just another mumble jumble from me. A lesson for me to learn too.

Nice location, unusual designs

Perhaps a new kind of theft prevention method. Put a gigantic ugly buddha head in your front garden.

New meets old. Modern house paired with super old royalty gates. Play the clashy style.

I only have 2 hands

Yesterday was a crappy day at work!!!!!! The pinnacle of annoyance unfortunately.

I dread working on wednesdays. Althought it is the day with the shortest shift, but renders me the most tired. Working for 4 hours felt like i have worked for double that time.

As i was walking towards the cafe, i noticed a long queue. I hope that the person in the previous shift did their share of cleaning up, otherwise it will be hell hard to play catch up. No sireeeee, dirty dishes and cups piled sky high at one corner of the kitchen. They did not put any dishes into the dishwasher before they left. CRAP!!!! To make matters worse, the front counter ran out of spoons and coffee cups, dirty wares still left on the tables. With all my other colleagues busy at the front counter and one busy horsing around in the kitchen, I by default am the person that serves, cleans table and operate the dishwasher and puts away the clean wares. "Just do it", i told myself.

"Joey, can you grab the till?", "Joey, can you bring this out?", "Joey, can you empty the bins??".... blah blah blah. Two hours into work, patience has worn thin. I was ready to clobber the next person that yells out my name with the serving tray. I wouldn't be that angry if everyone was working hard. It is utterly annoying when you see some of them standing around, sipping coke, gossiping instead of working. Perhaps they pride themselves for being the senior at the cafe. Ordering ppl around is their forte. Rahhhh!!!! I have no respect for that kind of ppl.

Well, I wasn't the only one that was upset, one of my colleague flew into rage, banging the cups and plates when the manager asked her to get back to work. Wow scary fits! Wished i was that brave to do that, it was exactly how i felt like.

As if the cafe wasn't busy enough, they decided to have coffee making training at 5pm for one of the girls. And the coffee queue is not getting any shorter.

Last but not least, the lady boss decides to come over for a visit. It is a major headache whenever she is here. She would just take up working space for counting money. Always in the way. And giving instructions to do more stuff when it is quite evident that I already have my hands full with other things. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...... play nice joey, give the best smile that you can fake.

I just wanted to get things done and go home. I had enough of the craziness.

Just wished that ppl would have a sense of responsibility at work. I am dreaming of the perfect world, ain't I??

It could have been me

Don't be fooled by how calm that small rockpool looks like. I took the picture before me and my friend climbed down to dip our feet in the rockpool. So shallow and crystal clear was the water, so inviting on a hot summer day. As we were approaching, big waves just suddenly came crashing, flooding the whole area and then pulled back with force. We retreated just in time to climb to a higher spot. That was dangerous!!! Had we gone further, i probably can say bye bye to the world if the waves had tugged me out into the rock beds further out. On top of that, I couldn't swim to save myself.

Two days ago, i heard that a Curtin student went missing at 'The Gap' in Albany. That was all i could catch as i had just came out from the bathroom. I was quite puzzled as to how the student could have disappeared in a tourist hot spot.

I read the following http://www.thewest.com.au/default.aspx?MenuID=77&ContentID=64236

It brought back memories of my trip down Albany. Never underestimate the force of nature, even when it seems calm and friendly. When the seas swell, there is no telling when your life is going to be under threat. Don't kid yourself and ignore the sign when it tells you that there have been incidents of death.

I hope he is gonna be alright. Till this time, the student was not yet found.

Bestest buy of the week

Ppl like their wine, i like THIS ..............................

All things new :)

We had our very first new cell meeting yesterday..... YES that's right, i am in a new cell!!! Ivy's cell + Corrine's cell + new cell leader (Benedix) = new cell :)

OUr cell is swamped with accountants. Ahahha, so that makes me, and a few others extra special. Come tax return time, i know who to look for.

NO sobbing, no tears. Only laughter and bubble tea. Cheers to the new cell!!

Hmm..... that is another item i can add to my "All Things New" list.

.....................................................................................................................................................................

Currently the lectures are on caries (surprise, surprise). Looking at some of the horrible diagrams is enough to make your lunch go up the wrong end. My duty is to make sure that your teeth doesn't go to that extent (that is if you are not MIAing for your checkups). Good enough explanation for those of you who still have no idea what a hygienist is??

I have been getting all sorts of surprised looks when ppl see me roaming the grounds of curtin uni and the Oral Health Centre. And some would actually confess to me that they are not fond of dental visits. Be terrified no more ppl, after two years, i will be at your service, will take good care of you kay :p

Chop chilli chop blog entry

12:02am..... hmmm... i know i should be sleeping by now. But anyhows, i think a quick update wouldn't kill right?

Sparse blog updates should tell you that i am busy right? AHhahah, actually i still do have time to muck around, just that i am LAZY!!

I am now three weeks into the school term. Gradually getting to know more about my classmates. It is interesting that almost all of us are mature age students, some have worked a number of years, some have done a degree previously and didn't like what they did. So, i am not the only one after all :)

Some have kids, most don't. Quoting one of my classmate:"I have two sons, Satan & Lucifer". Don't worry, she still loves her kids. Classmate told me that kids can bring a lot of headache when one is studying. Imagine having to pick your kids up from school on the way home, do house chores and attend to them. Only after they go to bed can you quietly sneak your books out for revision.

One my classmate decided to call it quits last week. With the pressure mounting at school, juggling her part time work, taking care of her kids, she was probably at the edge of sanity.

I am very blessed.

Started work at the cafe and dental clinic last week. Was taught how to make chilled drinks last Sunday. My first few attempts at making an iced coffee looked like something that came out of a failed science project. Muahahahaha. And hmmmmm.... i think i put way too much syrup in that guy's frappe (sugar high alert!!!).

"Sir, i think four packs of sugar in a cup of flat white might just kill you someday", I wished i could say that to the gentleman that had been so generous with his sugar consumption. Sweet sweet sugar.

Well that was bits and pieces of recent happenings. Hope to bore you with more next time kay. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, sweet dreams folks!!

Ze sabbath day :)

On a lazy sunday morning,

Internet Addict: woke up and reaches for the CPU button

Anonymous 1: woke up and starts munching on prawn crackers (prawn crackers for breakfast???)

Anonymous 2: woke up, starts digging nose and flicking boogers on the floor (utterly gRosss!!!!!)

Not so bad larrrr

AHahhaah, sorry sorry, putting you guys through my ranting about the queues. Blame it on the weather :p

Apparently this is the hottest summer in the last 30 years. It is officially autumn since yesterday, hopefully the cooler weather won't be lagging behind too much.

First week of school went past scarily fast. I thought i was gonna be doomed when we met our lecturers during orientation, when most of them spoke, it was with sleep - inducing monotonous rambling. I really did hope that i don't end up "fishing" in class, knowing that almost all lectures go on for 2 hours or more (ZZZzzzzzzzzz). Well, after going through week one with them i can say that i am blessed with wonderful teachers. They are a helpful bunch of ppl that has a wicked sense of humour.

For this next two years, i will be stuck with the same bunch of ppl, 25 hygienists and 13 therapists. Feels like high school where we see each other all the time at class. Will we become chummy buddies in the end?? Let's wait and see.

I have a locker buddy and chair buddy (the dental chair that is). Locker buddy is a girl that is one year older than me whom i'd actually asked how many kids does she have (she looks pretty mature) to be returned with a " i am not married". Oh dear, i should have checked the ring finger. She is nice :) Chair buddy is a quiet young chap. Let's hope that he is more rowdy down the road. Probably he is just scared being around so many ladies (yes, there are only two guys in the class).
