You learn something new everyday .....

The word "plastic surgeon" doesn't conjure up much of a positive image in my mind.

Superficial, obnoxious and most of them would look as if they had "work" done on themselves (wouldn't be surprised). If you didn't try it on yourself, you wouldn't know how well it works right?? That explains why we try gazillion tubes of different brands of toothpaste and mouthrinse on ourselves.

Plastic, it's fantastic!!! At least according to Barbie.

Well, that thought kinda shifted today.

Actually plastic surgery is not all bad stuff. I've actually forgotten some of the unsung heroes. Ppl who saves lives by performing plastic surgery.

My clinic rotation for today was at Princess Margaret Hospital's dental department. It was a very interesting aspect of dentistry that outsiders like us rarely come across. The dental department there work very closely with oral surgeons and plastic surgeons. Perth is very fortunate to have a facility as such, because babies who have cleft lip (ie. hare lip), cleft palate gets early intervention so that they can lead life as per normal. All these surgeries are done by plastic surgeons and oral surgeons. Not to forget that they are also involved with emergency and accident cases. We were shown some case studies, I was speechless.

When I came home, I heard on the news that Dr Fiona Woods is still busy treating burns patients. She is a plastic surgeon too!!!

And another channel was showing Celebrity Plastic Surgery -.-'''

Three accounts of plastic surgery in one day.

I think i need some rhinoplasty now!!! Kidding. But I really want a higher nose :p
